Jane McKellar“I started in business almost 3 decades ago, and have never had a female boss, and very few if any female business peers or mentors.

What Janine has created through LBDG is everything that I could really have benefited from as I moved through my career – an intimate, non-judgmental group of ladies.

Passionate, smart and independent thinkers who are willing to share and to listen; a powerful collective which has not only the members’ but the larger community’s interests at heart. Inspiring.”

Jane is currently a Partner at Sheldon Harris’, opening their Sydney office in 2012.

Her experience spans the FMCG, Digital & Internet, E-commerce, Retail and Luxury Goods industries at senior levels (CEO, MD and CMO) with extensive global experience, with particular focus on Asia. She is also an experienced Non-Executive Director in both public and private companies in Australia and the USA.

She has worked with several major US and Australian Private Equity groups, and is passionate about brands, turn-arounds, start-ups and kick-starting “stuck” businesses, as well as leading and developing teams.

Jane led the buying team to purchase the Stila Corp business from the Estee Lauder Group in New York and as CEO, transitioned the business in 14 countries, bringing it to break-even after 8 months.

As Managing Director of Elizabeth Arden Australia, Jane spearheaded the dramatic turnaround of the business, for which she was awarded Director of the Year by the JML / Macquarie Bank / The Australian, Human Capital Awards. She was also awarded launch of the Year by Ad News.

Prior to this, she was the Founding CEO of Excite.com – Asia Pacific and spent several years with Microsoft, first as Director of Sales and Marketing for MSN Australia, and then as a Founding Director of Ninemsn (the joint venture between Microsoft and PBL).

Previously Jane spent 12 years with Unilever in various international management roles around the world.
